Battleship Guided Tour

Knowledgeable guides will provide colorful stories about the ship's history and life at sea during a 60-minute guided tour. Walk in General Douglas MacArthur's footsteps and stand where he accepted the Instrument of Surrender that ended World War II; discover the thrilling details of the kamikaze attack on the Missouri; visit the Combat Engagement Center (seen only by Guided Tour guests); and see where 28 Tomahawk missiles were launched during the Gulf War.

Adult $23 / Child $15 (per person) - includes price of admission

Tours are available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Explorer’s Tour

The Explorer''s Tour gives visitors a very exclusive behind the scenes look into the ship's impressive fire rooms, machinery, main and secondary battery plots and working areas. During this 90-minute tour, visitors explore the Missouri's Post Office and walk through crew berthing areas as they were left in 1992 at the ship's decommissioning. Visitors also see the machine shop, where sailors manufactured nearly any repair piece the ship required at sea. Visitors descend within the armor belt to "Broadway," the longest passageway in the ship that connects all of the Missouri’s fire and engine rooms and is the length of a WWII submarine. Stepping off "Broadway" visitors move into the secondary and main battery plots, which are home to the pre-war vintage computers that controlled the battleship's gigantic 16-inch gun turrets and 5-inch guns. Once inside "Mighty Mo's" battery plot, visitors are immersed in the intricate nerve center of these formidable weapons and get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to squeeze the brass "trigger" that fires the big guns. Visitors also see the crew's galley and the Chief Petty Officer's (CPO) exhibit.

Adult $45 / Child $20 (per person) - includes price of admission

By presenting the Weapons Tour, the memorial is providing a special tour that arguably has been the most frequently requested new visitor experience since she arrived in Pearl Harbor. The tour will highlight the Mighty Mo's WWII-era anti-aircraft guns, Cold War-era Tomahawk cruise missile and Harpoon anti-ship missile systems, Operation Desert Storm-era anti-aircraft/missile Phalanx guns, massive 5-inch gun turrets and, of course, her trademark 16-inch main gun turrets. The tour will be free for "Friends of the Mighty Mo" members (who will have first preference for reservations).

Adult $30 / Child $15 (per person) - includes price of admission

Please note: This special commemorative guided tour is only available during the month of June.

Generations Tour

Offered at 2 p.m. daily throughout June, the new 60-minute "Generations Tour" will feature inspiring stories from the many generations who served aboard the Battleship Missouri, from World War II, to the Korean War, to Operation Desert Storm... to even the "new crew" of the memorial over the past decade. Featuring the best of all the memorial's guided tours, including the famous site of Japan's formal WWII surrender, the special tour will cover more than 60 years of memories, three wars and the monumental effort of turning a rusting battleship into a successful, sustainable memorial. This tour will be free for "Friends of the Mighty Mo" members (who will have first preference for reservations). Children must be at least 10 years old to take the Generation's Tour.
