Grant funds are available for qualifying Hawaii Title I schools and youth groups. In order to qualify, schools and organizations must have at least 35% of the students receiving free or reduced lunches. This grant assistance will depend on the availability of funds provided by various organizations. Complete a Title I application now.

We are pleased that you have requested information regarding financial assistance for our education programs here at the Battleship Missouri Memorial. Thanks to our donors and members we are able to disperse financial assistance to our school and non-profit groups. Our mission is to create and maintain a fitting memorial to the people and historic events reflecting our nation’s legacy of duty, honor, strength, resolve and sacrifice.
Schools or non-profit youth organizations must have a minimum of 35% of students on the federal free or reduced lunch program (FRL). Identify on the scale below the discount for your school.
- 35-50% FRL = 30% discount
- 50-65% FRL = 40% discount
- 65-80% FRL = 50% discount
- 80-100% FRL = 60% discount
The maximum discount for the Overnight Encampment is 50%
Please reserve your visit before applying for the financial assistance. Submit your application at least 30 days prior to your visit, and you will be notified within 7-10 days of receiving your request.
All funds are provided on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability of funds, so we recommend that you apply early.
Your feedback is very important to us. We require visiting teachers of the grant assistance program to complete an evaluation of the program in which they attended.
